Leading global distributor Kew Media Group (formerly Content Media Corporation) has signed broadcast rights to The 69th Emmy® Awards – the primetime event special taking place at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on September 17th – to 200 countries it announced today.

Available as a three-hour special, plus a one-hour pre-show, The 69th Emmy Awards is a spectacular entertainment event recognizing excellence in U.S. multiplatform, primetime and late night programming, and offers a guaranteed evening of glamour and star-studded talent. Airing on the CBS Television Network in the U.S., The 69th Emmy Awards will also broadcast around the world via multiple deals with Kew Media Group.

Pan-territory acquisitions signed for both the awards and pre-show include Turner Entertainment (Germany, Austria, German speaking territories), Fox (Asia), Turner International (Latin America) and Star India (India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan), alongside further deals with Fox International Channels (Netherlands), RTE (Eire), Telefonica (Spain, Spanish-speaking Andorra), Amedia (CIS, Georgia) and SIC (Portugal, Angola, Mozambique).

HBO Central Europe (multiple CEE territories), Electronic Media Network (Africa) and OSN (Middle East) have also signed rights to the three-hour awards show only. And further orders for the awards show have been placed by Serie Club (France), ABS-CBN (Philippines), Fox International Channels Greece (Cyprus, Greece, Malta), RAI (Italy), Channel Five (UK), YES DBS (Israel), Fox Networks Group (Japan), Digiturk (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkish Cyprus), TV2 (Norway), TV2 (Denmark), Telenet (Flemish Belgium), RAAAD Productions, LLC (China), Mongol TV (Mongolia) and RTK (Kosovo).

The 69th Emmy Awards will be hosted by Stephen Colbert, the multi-talented presenter of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Awarded by The Television Academy, the 24,000 member organisation of television professionals, in recognition of outstanding contribution to the television industry, The 69th Emmy Awards will bestow the U.S. television industry’s highest honours. Nominations for the Awards, 27 categories of which are presented during the telecast, were announced on July 13th by Anna Chlumsky (Veep) and Shemar Moore (S.W.A.T, Criminal Minds).
