The Critics' Choice Awards

Honouring the finest in cinematic and television achievement, The Critics’ Choice Awards is one of Hollywood’s premiere events, attracting a glittering array of glamorous attendees and proving a must-see occasion for cinema and TV lovers everywhere. Historically, The Critics’ Choice Awards are the most accurate predictor of the Academy Award® nominations.

The Critics’ Choice Awards plays host to a wealth of world-renowned acting and creative talent, with Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Clint Eastwood, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Steven Spielberg, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Reynolds and Martin Scorsese among previous red-carpet attendees.

The show continues its combined Film and Television awards format, honouring the finest in both cinematic and televised/streaming achievement, and is held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Presented early in the awards season, The Critics’ Choice Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) to honour the finest in cinematic and television achievement. The BFCA is the largest film critics’ organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 300 television, radio and online critics. BFCA members are the primary source of information for today’s film-going public. BTJA is the collective voice of journalists who regularly cover television for TV viewers, radio listeners and online audiences.
