KEW MEDIA GROUP ACQUIRES WORLDWIDE SALES RIGHTS TO TEEN COMEDY HOW TO GET GIRLS

Comedy Favorites Chris Elliott, David Koechner and Chris Kattan Serve Up Laughs Alongside Newcomers Zach Fox and Martin Cervantez in Film Directed by Fox and Omri Dorani

Los Angeles, CA – October 26, 2017 – It was revealed today that Kew Media Group has acquired worldwide sales rights to Zach Fox and Omri Dorani’s teen comedy HOW TO GET GIRLS produced by Nancy Glass and Glass Entertainment Group.

Fox and Dorani teamed to write, direct and produce the comedy that features Fox, and fellow newcomer Martin Cervantez, starring opposite a trio of comedy legends - Chris Elliott (“Groundhog Day,” “There’s Something About Mary”), David Koechner (“Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” “Get Smart”) and Chris Kattan (“Saturday Night Live,” “A Night At The Roxbury”).

“How To Get Girls” follows Zach (Fox) and Ben (Cervantez), two nerdy childhood best friends with a dream to go to Comic Con. When Ben is forced to move with his dad to Antarctica the two make a vow: when Ben returns they will finish writing their comic book and get it into the hands of their hero, Marvel creator Stan Lee. After five years of total isolation, Ben returns looking like a total stud but thinking like the geek he’s always been. With his new “golden ticket,” Zach uses Ben to do what was once thought impossible – get girls. In the process he learns a valuable lesson, friendship is more important than anything else.

Winning the Portland Comedy Film Festival for Best Feature & Cinematography, the film marks the directorial and producing debut of Fox and Dorani.

Producing alongside Fox and Dorani were Andrea Gunning, Ben Fetterman and Ty Walker. Nancy Glass, the six time Emmy Award winning producer and writer, is executive producer. ICM Partners brokered the deal.

Kew Media’s President of Film, Jamie Carmichael, and EVP of Sales, Jonathan Ford, will introduce the film to distributors at the American Film Market (AFM) in Santa Monica next week.

In addition to HOW TO GET GIRLS, Kew Media’s impressive sales slate heading into the AFM includes the flamboyant murder mystery comedy BEES MAKE HONEY starring Alice Eve; the comedy AN ACTOR PREPARES starring Jeremy Irons and Jack Huston; Sci-Fi epic feature HIGHER POWER – all three titles having their market premiere screenings at AFM; the comedy SHRIVER starring Thomas Haden Church;the elevated sci-fi film ‘2067’ from Seth Larney; the sci-fi mystery ORIGIN UNKNOWN starring Katee Sackhoff; the Manolo Blahnik documentary MANOLO: THE BOY WHO MADE SHOES FOR LIZARDS; and a documentary feature about the inspiring, Olympic hero turned convicted murder Oscar Pistorius (PISTORIUS); the Maria Callas biopic CALLAS & ONASSIS, starring Noomi Rapace with Niki Caro directing.
